Mary Coronado Obituary
A rosary will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 6 pm with visitation to follow. The funeral mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at noon with interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mary Lou was born September 2, 1951, to Ignacio and Bessie Gauna in Junction, TX. She was a long-time member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Lampasas. Around Lampasas, she was known as "The Taco Lady" and was known for her tacos by everybody. She enjoyed the holidays, cooking for special events, fishing, sewing, baking, music, dancing and her jewelry. She was always a flashy lady! Most importantly Mary Lou enjoyed her family and time spent with them.
She was preceded in death by her husband Prudencio Coronado in 2012 and her son, Mancho Coronado in 2021 as well as a brother and a sister.
Survivors include her son, Aurelio Coronado, and wife Amie; her daughters, Aurelia Torres and husband Javier, Esmeralda Barron and husband Orlando, Mary Ann Serrano, and husband Oscar and Gabriella Martinez; one brother; four sisters; 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
