Mary Agnes Cox was a caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She left this world on December 4, 2024 at age 84. She was born to Robert and Margaret Helfrich on January 3, 1940 in Washington Court House. Mary was always there when you needed her most, offering kindness, support, and love in abundance. She enjoyed spending time with her daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and caring for animals. Her love for her family and friends was unwavering. She has left lasting mark on the hearts of all those who were fortunate to know her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Margaret (Little) Helfrich, her sister, Rosann Litzinger, brother, Robert Helfrich, and granddaughter, Bethany Rae Valone. She is survived by her brothers, Stanley Helfrich and PR Marshall of Washington Court House; three children, Michael A. cox, Diana (Joe) Valone of Circleville, and Paula Pontious of Columbus; six grandchildren, Brad (Gia) McKillip, Heath Pontious, Ryan (Lauren) McKillip, Vincent (Amy) Valone, Marissa (Marshall) Sanders, Megan (Jeremy) Hoffman; 10 great grandchildren, Sierra, Caleb, Lydia, Maxwell, Lyla, Meredith, Caden, Palmer, Blair, and Madilyn; many nephews and nieces, and good friends at The Willows in Grove City and Washington Court House. Cremation has been observed. A memorial gathering is scheduled for 3-7 p.m. on Monday, December 16, 2024 at Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Mass will be on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Colmans Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Colman Cemetery.
