Funeral Services will be held at a 3:30 PM Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at Sts. Peter & Paul Church for Mary Joyce Comeaux Credeur, 77, who passed away on March 8, 2009 at her Residence in Scott. Rev. O. Joseph Breaux, Pastor of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Beverly Credeur and Stormy Mandella. Gift bearers will be her three sons, and Eucharistic Ministers will be Callie Gautreaux, and Nichole Simon. Musical selections will be provided by organist, Phyllis Simar and soloist, Charlotte Jagneaux. Burial will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Credeur, a resident of Scott for the past 37 years, was the daughter of the late Rhule Comeaux of Branch and the former Deneige Granger of Acadia Parish. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her heart was as large as her family, she will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. She enjoyed family gatherings and working in her flower beds. Mary retired from the dry cleaning business after 14 years, Montgomery Wards, and the Sears Warehouse in Scott. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Gilfred J. Credeur of Scott; ten children, Danny Credeur and wife Patti, Cathy Badeaux and husband Bobby, Rhonda Touchet and husband John, Janet Johnson and husband Wayne, Brenda Richard and companion Eric Matthieu, Jeff Credeur and wife Rhonda, Vernon Credeur and wife Renee', Kellie Guilbeau and husband Greg, Dana Mhire and husband Pat, and Christy LeBlanc and husband Gerard; one sister, Mary Lou Richard of New Iberia; she also has twenty-two grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, along with many neices and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Lillian "Meon" Miller, two brothers, Elmo and J.B. Comeaux; one half brother, Rhule Comeaux, Jr.; and her step mother, Aline Quebedeaux Comeaux. The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 10:00 PM and will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until service time. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday at 7:00 PM at Delhomme Funeral Home of Scott. Pallbearers will be six son-in-laws, Bobby Badeaux, John Touchet, Wayne Johnson, Greg Guilbeau, Pat Mhire, and Gerard LeBlanc. Honorary pallbearers will ber her three sons, Danny Credeur, Jeff Credeur, Vernon Credeur, and all of her grandchildren, whom loved her dearly. We would like to thank all of her family and friends that were constantly at her side with prayers and love. May God continue to bless all of the Hospice nurses and her Doctors for their help in keeping Mary comfortable. Personal condolences may be sent to the family at www.delhommefuneralhome.com.
