Mary Katherine Crouse

Mary Katherine Crouse, age 73, passed away on Thursday March 26, 2026, at Kindred Hospital in Lima, Ohio, Surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born on April 9, 1952, to the late Joseph T. and Katherine A. (Effler) Ross. As well as her parents, Mary is also preceded in death by her infant son, Ricky; daughter, Christa; granddaughter, Catie; former husband, Ron; and brothers, Tommy, Billy, and Chuckie. She is survived by her loving children, Ronnie (Tammy), and Rhonda; grandchildren, Christina, Brian, Jake (Kylie), Blake (Stephanie), King, Connor, and Zayn; sister, Sharon; sisters-in-law, Carolyn and Delores; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended families; special cousin, Tommy; Childhood friend, Rita; lifelong friends, Sandy and Mike; dearly loved friend and sister-in-law, Carolyn.

Mary was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in German Village, Columbus, Columbus, Ohio, where she was baptized, received her first communion and attended school. Mary was a professional clothes presser and seamstress for over 37 years, working loyally for Grove City Cleaners 1 Hour Martinizing. Mary enjoyed her work and all those she worked with. She especially enjoyed providing freshly pressed uniforms for the Grove City High School Marching Band, for their football game appearances, parades, and their many trips to the Tournament of Roses Parade appearances in Pasadena, California on New Years morning. Perfecting the military creases was her favorite. Mary baked the best pineapple upside down cakes, it was nothing short of a treasure having one of her cakes.

Our mother Mary was kind, understanding, beautiful, smart, talented, artistic, helpful and patient, but most of all she was OUR mom and that was the best thing of all! Our Mom will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Visitation for Mary will be held Wednesday April 1, 2026, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at O. R. Woodyard Co. South High St. Chapel 1346 S. High St. Columbus< Oh. 43207, where funeral services will be Thursday April 2, 2026, at 11:00 am.
