Mary Dameron Obituary
July 22, 1934 - Dec. 4, 2021
Mary Ann Dameron passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 9, at Bruceville-Moore Cemetery, with Rev. Robin Ford officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 8, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home.
Mary Ann was born July 22, 1934, in Eddy, Texas, to Cleburne and Mary Viola Dunning. Mary Ann was educated at Baylor University. She began her teaching career at Bruceville-Eddy where she met her husband, Marvin Lane. After a few years, she transferred to Midway ISD where she spent the majority of her 44 years as an elementary librarian.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Marvin Lane Dameron.
She is survived by her cousin, Beverly McDonald of Florida; her sister-in-law, Mary Mooney; brother-in-law, Clyde Dameron; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She is also survived by special friends Donnie and Linda Brandon and hundreds of former students that she considered her children.
Memorials may be made to Bruceville-Eddy United Methodist Church or the Midway ISD Education foundation.

Mrs. Dameron was always so sweet and caring. She decorated the Spring Valley Elementary School library with her own beautiful collections of literary items and went to great lengths to help her students grow in their love of reading. Mrs. Dameron continuously encouraged all of us to sample new (to us) authors and titles, and she was always pleased to converse about the fictional lands we were exploring. She was a great listener. I am forever grateful to have known her! My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends during this time of grief.

Mary Dameron and her husband will be missed. They always were so friendly when bringing in their cats and I know she must of been such a positive force at Bruceville Eddy and Midway schools. Lovely lady!! Condolesences to the family!
