Mary Etta Damme

Mary Etta (Nelson) Damme, age 81, of Bowling Green, KY, went home
to be with the Lord, peacefully, on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at TriStar
Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
Mary Etta was born August 15, 1942, in Providence, KY to Hallie Mae
(Crook) Nelson and Bethel Aaron Nelson. She was a retired factory
worker and a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and
great-great grandmother.
Mary Etta is survived by her daughter, Brenda Whittemore, son, Rex
(Sheila) Damme, son, Phillip (JoHanna) Damme, daughter, Ruth Ann
(Felix) Rodriguez, sister, Henrietta (Nelson) & Paul Sigler, sister, Joyce
Ann (Nelson) Puckett, 18 Grandchildren, 32 Great Grandchildren, 9
Great-Great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Mary Etta is preceded in death by her parents, Hallie Mae and Bethel
Nelson, sister, Judy Nally, brother, Aaron Bethel Nelson, brother, David
Nelson and nephew, Jeffrey Nelson.
Ellis Funeral Home of Nashville, TN is overseeing the arrangements for
Mary Etta, and they are honored to serve the Damme family.
Arrangements are private at Mary Etta's request, but her family
members are gathering to share their love and to honor her memory.
