Mary Ellen Davis

Mary Ellen James Davis was born on January 7, 1950, the nineth child of Julia Frances, James and Elwood Willie James.

She was educated in Somerset County Maryland. She graduated from somerset, Jr. Sr. High School in princess Anne, Maryland in 1968.

In 1969 Mary gave birth to her only child Kevin Lamont James. Being young, her family help her to raise her son.

Mary had many Jobs over the years, from 1973-1981 she attended the university of Maryland Eastern Shore with studies centered on Home Economics, she attended Wor-Wic Tech I 1989 with interest in research and settlement certification. In 1978-1982, she worked for Somerset County Cooperative Extension where she worked with 4-H and youth to provide programs for out ages 8-18 years old. she planned implemented and evaluated programs for summer expanded food and Nutrition Education, from 1995-2000 she worked at the Ramada Inn I Salisbury, Maryland making sure the rooms were clean and ready to rent. Here final job was from 2003-2012 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center as an environmental aide. She believed finding a job is a rewarding and enjoyable thing, providing her opportunities to help others, she was a member of the eastern star starlight Chapter "44."

Mary was married to Charles Davis from 1984-1987.

In 2019, she became guardians to her nephew Anthony "Tony" James upon the death of her sist er Frances Elizabeth James.

Mary has a large collection of musical records, CD's, DVD's and Video tapes. She enjoyed movies, reading and arts and crafts. She loved going to the casino to play slots, she was quite good and successful at it too.

Precede in her in death were here parents Julia Frances James and Elwood willie James, her five brothers Elwood, Paul, Charles, Linwood and Robert James and two sisters Jeanette and Frances Elizabeth James.

Mourning her is her sister Ida James Banch, here son Kevin Lamont James, her favorite, nephews Anthony Janes and Dennard James Bunch, her nieces Virginia James Broadnax and Daphne James, her great nieces Renee, Paula Broadnax and Noaea Bunch great nephews Dalivier Bunch and Davon James, her friends Dr. Geri Mason, Norma Lee Boston, Willis Fontaine, Portia Wright and Rev. William Wallace, Cousins Malvene Parker, Ruby and Malcolm Davis and number our other relatives and friends.
