DYER CHAPEL-Mary Kathleen Davis, born on April 22, 1934, in White County, Tennessee, peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at NHC of Cookeville at the age of 91. She was a cherished individual, remembered for her unwavering devotion to family, her passion for her work, and her active role within her church community.
Kathleen enjoyed a distinguished career spanning 34 years at Wilson's Sporting Goods, where she specialized in lettering on uniforms. Her meticulous attention to detail and dedication made her a valued member of the team. This career underscored her strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
A member of Stone Seminary Freewill Baptist Church, Kathleen drew strength and inspiration from her faith, contributing significantly to her community and fostering deep connections with those around her. Her interests included spending precious time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Kathleen is survived by her loving children, Gary (Marty) Farley of Bloomington Springs, TN, Tim (Keith) Farley of Cookeville, and Carol (Dennis) McCorkel of Lakeland, FL; her stepson, Frankie (Connie) Davis of Sparta; stepdaughter, Donna (John) Ross of Baxter; step son-in-law, Michael Sarr; her brother, Joe Nabors of Baxter; and sisters, Brenda (Richard) Goff and Doris Foister of Baxter; her grandchildren, Kyle (Courtney) Farley, Kevin (Bridgette) O'Brien, Mary Beth (Sarah) Farley, Jeff (Misty) Fuqua, Andrea (Lance) Brooks, Carla (Zach) Burek, and Tommy (Christy) McCorkel; and her great-grandchildren; Devin (Austin) Martin, Bradley Burek, Beau Fuqua, Annabelle Fuqua, Luke Fuqua, Clay Farley, Trinity (Jake) Edwards, Gabe Hopkins, Anna Brooks and Izzy Brooks; great-great-grandchildren, Sean Martin, Peter, John Paul and Rose Edwards; step grandchildren, Michael (Nicole) Sarr, Stephen Sarr, Shawn (Jessica) Henry, and Eric Henry; step great-grandchildren, Ashley, Jill, Ryan, Natalie, Allison, Kaitlyn and Jacob.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Franklin Nabors and Ona Melvina Robinson Nabors; her 1st husband, TM Farley (d. August 15, 1993) and her 2nd husband, Bro. Frank Davis (d. June 15, 2021); son, Tommy Farley, and her stepdaughter, Debbie Sarr, and stepson-in-law, Tommy Henry; brothers, Herman Nabors, Horace Nabors, and Ronnie (Elaine) Nabors; brother-in-law, Clarence Foister and 2 infant siblings, Ella Marie and Frank Nabors.
Visitation will be held at Dyer Chapel, 798 S. Willow Ave. in Cookeville on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and again on Sunday, November 23, 2025, from 12 Noon until service time at 2:00 PM. Bro. Gary Farris will officiate. Burial will follow in Sand Springs Memorial Gardens in Monterey.
Pallbearers will be Tom McCorkel, Jeff Fuqua, Kyle Farley, Eric Henry, Kevin O'Brien, Stephen Sarr, Michael Sarr and Shawn Henry.
Mary Kathleen Davis leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and unwavering faith that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her spirit will live on through her family and friends, who will forever treasure the memories of the joy and warmth she brought into their lives.
