Mary Jane Delo, age 64, of Alba, passed away at home on Tuesday, July 9, 2025.

Mary was born on July 9, 1961, in Alma, Michigan, to Wendell and Rose (Williams) Delo. She grew up in Alma and for many years worked at Ashcraft’s grocery store, where she was known for her kindness and hard work.

In 2008, Mary moved up north to be closer to her sister. She had a generous heart and a creative spirit, often crocheting afghans and crafting gifts for others. She also enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls and had a special love for scary movies.

For the past nine years, Mary worked at Grand Traverse Industries in Mancelona, where she took pride in her work cleaning and assembling car parts. She especially loved going on outings and spending time with her coworkers, who became her friends.

Mary is survived by her brother Wendell (Kelly) Delo of Breckenridge, MI; her sister Becky (Rob) Beagle of Alba, MI; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wendell and Rose, and her sister Pamela Delo.

She will be remembered for her big heart, her creativity, and the joy and laughter she brought into the lives of those who loved her.
