Mary B. Denney, age 85, of Dayton, passed away November 11, 2025. She was born March 6, 1940 in Lewisburg, Ohio to the late Arthur and Goldie Hellmund. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Arlene Jenks; brother and sister-in-law: Duke and Frieda Hellmund.
Mary is survived by her daughters: Donna Waymire and Karen Armstrong; grandchildren: Katrina Layman (Dean), Lee Armstrong (Shannon), Jessica Waymire and Roscoe Waymire; great-grandchildren: Devin Westfall, Daimen Layman, Logan Cesh and Serena Cesh; brother, John Hellmund (Judith); many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mary was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. She enjoyed being outdoors, fixing things and crafting. Mary was affectionately called "Go-Go Gadget Granny." Mary was a member of the American Legion.
