Ronald James Denney, age 81 passed away on November 4, 2025 at Massena Memorial Hospital. As per Ronald's wishes there will be no funeral services, arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home, 60 Maple Street, Massena.
Ronald was born in Tupper Lake on April 17, 1944 to Lucille Agnes Denney, he grew up in the Malone area, and was raised by his mother and step father Francis Lamica. He graduated from Franklin Academy in 1964. Ronald proudly served his country entering the US Army in 1965, and was stationed in Lockport, NY. He married Georgianna Horner on December 14, 1968. In 1966 he was employed at Alcoa in Massena as a journeyman Electrician until his retirement in 2001.
He is survived by his wife Georgianna, his three sons, Robert (Catherine) of Palm Bay, Florida, William (Melissa) of Massena, and Peter (LeeAnne) of Massena, seven grandchildren, Marissa of Belair, MD, Taylor of Palm Bay, FL, Jorden of Palm Bay, FL, Paige of Charleston, SC, Seth of Massena, Alec (Hailey) of Troup, TX, Kyle of Massena, seven great grandchildren, Dominik Richards, Ellinor Denney, Erin Hewitt, Derrick Hewitt of Florida, Olivia Denney, Aisley Denney, and Case Denney, of Texas, three brothers, Robert (Joann) Lamica of Alexandria, VA, William Lamica of Malone, and John (Susan) Lamica of Massena, three sisters, Alice Lamica of Malone, Deborah McMahon of Bombay, and Jean (Dennis) Hurteau of North Bangor, and seventeen nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Cecelia and a brother-in-law Roy McMahon, and a nephew Donald Horner.
Ronald enjoyed many hobbies, from building and flying radio controlled model airplanes, to bowling, playing softball, ice hockey, operating ham radios, building furniture, playing guitar, automotive work, and especially computers. He also enjoyed being out in nature and gardening, the newest electronic gadgets, his favorite past time was helping his boys with building projects and working with his grandkids.
