I’m so very sad to hear the news of Eugenie’s passing. For several years I had the honor of knowing and working with Eugenie when she was one of the producers at the Playwrights Group. She was always a delight to be around - generous, hard-working, selfless and funny. Eugenie produced the first play evening I ever participated in, for which I’m forever grateful. And I know I’m just one of many playwrights who owe her a debt of gratitude. Sending caring thoughts to her family during this difficult time.

Gramma Magenieit’s taken some time to be able to say how I feel. I was beyond sad knowing you were no longer here. That I would be unable to call you or come by. You were more than a very dear friend and I miss you so very much. I miss are long chats and laughter more than you know. I appreciate all that you did for me and my children and you will be missed so very much! You’ll be in my thoughts and heart always. Love you, Sondra

What do I say about my aunt Eugénie
I spent my entire childhood with my Aunt Eugenie my Uncle Bill my cousins Josh and Jake and to this day they are the most memorable memories of my life
She was an amazing woman we had an interesting relationship when I was younger I think she was used to boys and not girls so I gave her a run for her money
Definitely pushed her to her limits when I was with them in Utah No question in Indio
I loved her
when we spoke it was like we had just spoken and she loved her children and her grandchildren and she always checked in on my mom
I loved to see her pictures with her grandchildren I know she loved to see my pictures of me with my grandchildren
I’m so glad we got to see her in March she was just supposed to always be there she will be missed I will miss her

Eugeniesimply the bestthe most real, strong, no-nonsense, beautiful woman, who I always looked up to, respected and admired. She was the perfect balance between strong and lovely.always thoughtful, generous, kind and funny...the kind of person you just wanted to be around. I can’t think of her without seeing her radiant smile, those sparkling eyes or hearing her contagious laugh. She truly lit up a room and I know she will continue to light the way for her family that she loved so completely and dearly. I hadn’t seen Eugenie in a long time, but we still reached out through the years on birthdays and special occasions.that’s just the kind of person she was.always thoughtful, always there and always will beShe will never be forgotten. All my love to her memory and her loved ones.

This to me totally captures mom´s essence... if you know this smile... you were lucky!

My boys have such amazing memories of going to Grandma's and watching Monk and having chicken nuggets!!!! Eugenie you were the best grandma I could have wished for my boys! We are going to miss you so much but you left us with such great memories we will never forget you!

My mother was a wonderful person and a great mother to Josh and I. She took care of us from the time we were little kids in New York City, to growing up in Los Angeles, and finally to living here in the Coachella Valley. I don't ever remember asking

So saddened by this news. To the Devane family, my deepest condolences. Eugenie was a wonderful woman for whom I had the upmost respect. I feel fortunate to have met and known her. I have some great memories of my time at Devanes with Eugenie, many of which were very funny. She had a wonderful sense of humor! Josh, Jake and family, Sending love to you all at this difficult time

I remember the first time I met Eugenie. I walked into the kitchen at the Valley Vista house and I was greeted by a huge warm smile. Over the last 45 years, that same smile has always greeted me with the same warmth and happiness every time I had a chance to see Eugenie. I will miss that the most.....

To Josh and the entire Devane family, I send my love and support.

I'm not sure there is much I can say... Mom was just everything to me, and gave so much of herself so that I could have the best chance of success possible... It's not an exaggeration to say that most of everything I have is because of her... She had an incredible sense of style and always dressed so elegantly. I like to think I got just a touch of that from her. She loved her grandchildren Zach & Sam so much! She was most always up for a little adventure as she travelled with me to a few Spartan races... and I'm so thankful she got to make those trips with us. The void she will leave in my life is immeasurable, but she will always live on in our hearts, prayers and memories. I miss you mom and sorry I wasn't here in the end, but so thankful we spoke on that Friday. I love you. Josh
