Mary Remmers DeVille

Mary Remmers DeVille, 91, of Fort Wayne, died Sunday November 23, 2025, at Cedar Creek of Fort Wayne assisted living. Born January 5, 1934, she was the daughter of John and Marguerite (Peterson) Remmers. She was employed by Lincoln National Life Insurance Co.; Allen County; Sears, Roebuck and Co.; and Vera Bradley Designs Inc. She was married 63 years to the love of her life, Joseph Stanley "Joe" DeVille, who preceded her in death. Survivors include four daughters, Michelle (Bob) Bandor of Fort Wayne, Denise (Richard) Martinez of Jenison, Mich., Julie DeVille, of Fort Wayne, and Jennifer (Eric) Branning of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Mary was also preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Mona (Remmers) Schirmeyer; her brother, John Remmers, Jr.; and a granddaughter. Funeral Services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne; with visitation from 1-2pm. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
