Mary Geraldine Dobbins (nee Varney), age 88, passed away Wednesday, January 8th, 2025. Beloved wife of the late William B. Dobbins. Dear mother of Peggy J. Buckner (Carl), Betty G. Adams (deceased), Brenda K. Cherwin (deceased) (Ron), and Linda J. Dobbins-Collins (Jim). Loving Grandmother of Billy, Jeremy, & Brendt Buckner, Kimberly Hargis, Amanda Woods, and Billie Dobbins. Cherished great-grandmother of 6. Caring great-great-grandmother of 3. Treasured sister of the late Hobert Varney, Sylvia Killingsworth, and twin sister to Jerry Varney.
Born and raised in Maysel, West Virginia. Relocated to Cleveland, Ohio with her husband where she raised her four daughters. She loved being around her family and "having a good time". She had a loving heart and good intentions. She liked the simple things in life and just being together or getting a card in the mail or a phone call. She loved peanut butter cookies (any cookies), Reese cups and oatmeal pies. She liked shopping for shoes and purses and pretty things. She loved being outside in the summertime and seeing hummingbirds and Redbirds. She loved dogs, she lost her beloved Sassy earlier this year. She loved Dolly Parton and country music. And she especially liked watching family feud and seeing "her man" Steve Harvey. She loved to laugh and joke around. She had the best smile and the prettiest blue eyes that "shined like diamonds", a phrase that she would often say. If you met her, you'd never forget her. She was truly one of a kind. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all. Rest in peace beautiful angel.
