David William Dobbins, of Deer Park, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on the morning of September 23rd, 2025 at the age of 72. He was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio by the late Ralph and Rachel Dobbins. Husband of 48 and a half years to his cherished wife, Jan Dobbins; devoted father to his daughter, Jackie (Chris) Mason; adoring grandfather to Joy Mason, Melody Mason and Samantha Mason; loving brother to Debbie (Randy) Dobbins McDowell, Danny (Merdith) Dobbins, and Doug (Peggy) Dobbins; favorite son-in-law to Shirley and the late John Filippi; beloved brother-in-law to Rhonda and Steve Wilson, Joe and Rebecca Filippi, Gayle and Jim Witte, Sue and Dan Noxsel, Johnny and Sandy Filippi, Carol and Gary Marquart, and the late Bill McDowell. Dave was a “Favorite” uncle to his nieces and nephews and such a close friend to everyone he cared so deeply for. He loved God, his family, and we have all been blessed by his huge heart for people. Dave graduated from Princeton High School. He is a longtime member and part of his beloved church family at CLC where Dave served in ministry and as a worship leader alongside his dear friends, Pastors Jeremy and Catherine Moore. Dave’s passion was music. He was a singer, song writer, recording artist and guitar player. He wanted to spread the gospel of Jesus through song. Dave is a shining example through the great life he lived will certainly be greeted in Heaven hearing, “Well done my good and faithful servant.” A private gathering will take place at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 10211 Plainfield Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45241. Interment will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
