Mary Jane Dryburg Hay, 85, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025 in Logansport.
Mary Jane was born March 21, 1940 in her home, a small coal mining town in Kimmelton, PA to William and Elizabeth (Berkebile) Dryburg.
On June 30, 1963 she married William R. Hay of Somerset, PA in Katner, PA, together they had three daughters, Jackie (Tom) Scherle, Jasper, IN; Sherri (Todd) Gehlhausen, Galveston, IN; and Michele Hart, Walton, IN.
She graduated from Forbes High School in Kantner, PA in 1958. She graduated from Cambria Rowl Business College in Johnstown, PA and later went to Bozeman, Montana and helped set up the IBM System.
She enjoyed being with her grandchildren and her friends. She volunteered at Logansport Memorial Hospital for several years. She also enjoyed playing bingo and playing in her euchre and bunco clubs for many years. She worked at Southeastern School as a cook for 26 years for which she enjoyed being with the children. She retired in 2004. She attended Center Community of Faith Church (formerly known as Center United Methodist Church) north of Young America, IN.
Surviving is her husband, William R. Hay, three daughters, Jackie (Tom) Scherle, Sherri (Todd) Gehlhausen, Michele Hart, six grandchildren, Brittany Gehlhausen, Michael Gehlhausen, Cody Scherle, Cheyenne Scherle, Grace Hart and Matthew Hart; Brother Barry Dryburg (Rose), Somerset, PA, several sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sixteen brothers and sisters.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the Center Community of Faith Church. Pastor Brent Cripe will officiate. Burial will follow at Center Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held prior to the funeral from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the Center Community of Faith Church.
