Yessman, Mary Ann E. (Kralik)
She was born June 26, 1933 in Cudahy, WI, the daughter of the late John and Laura (Torner) Kralik and passed away peacefully on Monday, April 17th 2023.
In addition to her parents, Mary Ann was predeceased by her sister Dolores Case; and her beloved husband of 67 years, William E. Yessman in 2020.
She proudly served in the Navy during the Korean War, where she met and married her husband, who was also serving in the Navy. She was employed in various part-time jobs over the years, but her greatest joy was raising her children and taking care of her family.
In her younger years, Mary Ann was an avid, skilled league bowler. She was a great cook and baker, and she loved it when the whole family gathered for holiday meals.
At home, especially recently, she enjoyed spending time watching the many birds who flocked to her feeders.
She is survived by children Cynthia (Steve) Wojcik of Sicklerville, NJ, Theresa (William) Rossi of Sparta, NJ, William (Anne) Yessman, Jr. of Odessa, NY, Margaret (Steve) Farrell of Corning, NY, and Elizabeth (Joseph) Lambert of Elmira, NY; grandchildren Steve (Amanda) Wojcik, Michael (Lauren) Rossi, Michele (Rick) Mogavero, Cheryl (Mike) Collins, Allison (Anthony) Van Curen, Andrew (Breana) Yessman, Myles (Lindsay) Baker, Jr., John Baker; Patrick (Tiffany) Lambert, Sean (Samantha) Lambert; 20 great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends, particularly in Wisconsin and New Jersey.
Family and friends are invited to visit the Barber Funeral Home, 413 S. Main st., in Horseheads, on Thursday, April 27th 2023 from 11 am to 1 pm. Her memorial service will be held there at 1 pm, Rev, John Desocio officiating.
Committal and internment with military honors will be held privately with Mary Ann's family, later in Woodlawn National Cemetery Columbarium, in Elmira.
