Mary Evensen Obituary

Mary Louise Evensen died on October 10, 2025 at the age of 75 at Cura Healthcare in Monticello.

She was born in Milaca, MN on April 26, 1950 to Stuart and Violet Packard.

She married Andy Evensen on August 31, 1968. They were blessed with two sons, Aaron and Mark.

Mary loved being a nurse in the town she grew up in. After Aaron and Mark were grown, Mary and Andy were proud to care for seven foster children. She also enjoyed gardening, puzzles, travel with friends and family, playing cards and games, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survived by Aaron Evensen of Milaca, Mark (Julie) Evensen of St. Michael; grandchildren Lindsey and Sydney Evensen; siblings: Pat, Stuart (Patsy), and Jon; in-laws: Virginia Evensen, Arnold (Ardelle) Evensen, and Roger (Janice) Evensen.

Preceded in death by husband, Andy and siblings: Judy, Jay, and Mark.

Thank you to family and friends who visited Mary, those visits meant so much to her.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at Milaca American Legion Post 178 on Friday, October 24th from 11am-3pm. Visitation with the family will begin at 11am with a short service and lunch to follow at noon.

She was my first cousin and extremely caring beautiful person, she would help you out without asking. Always had a smile on her face, and a wonderful laugh, she will be missed and always remember.
