Mary Faas Obituary

Mary A. Faas (Burke), of Pittsfield, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, at her home in Madeira Beach, Florida. She was the beloved wife of Steve, her devoted partner in life and constant source of strength. Together, they built a home rooted in love, commitment, and family.

Mary was a deeply devoted mother to her four children, Bryan, Ashley, Meghan, and Brendan, who were the center of her world and her greatest pride. She is also survived by her sister, Kathleen, with whom she shared a special and enduring bond.

Despite years of physical challenges, Mary faced each day with remarkable resilience and quiet grace. Her strength in the face of hardship, her kindness toward others, and her unwavering love for her family defined who she was. Selfless by nature, she consistently put the needs of those she loved before her own, and her gentle spirit touched all who knew her.

Mary will be deeply missed by her family and friends, whose lives were forever enriched by knowing her. Her legacy lives on through her children, the love she shared, and the countless memories she created with those closest to her. While her passing leaves an immeasurable void, her family finds comfort in knowing she is now at peace and will forever be remembered for a life filled with love, courage, and devotion.

A Memorial Service for Mary will be held on Friday, January 16, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Mark's Church in Pittsfield, celebrated by the Rev. John Salatino, Pastor. A Celebration of Life will follow at Proprietors Lodge.

Steve & family - So very sorry to learn of Mary's passing. She was a good friend of my sister's (Anne Prendergast) and I was lucky enough to get to know her as well. Mary was one of the happiest and most positive people I ever knew. She was always laughing and making others laugh, which is what I loved most about her. She is gone too soon and will be terrible missed. I am sorry for your loss. May she rest in peace.

I am heartbroken to read of Mary´s loss. I worked with Mary at GE. She was a wonderful person who touched the lives of many. I saw her at a neighborhood picnic a few years back and she warmly greeted me and eagerly talked about her family that she was so proud of. Please accept my heartfelt condolence. May you all find strength and solace in the beautiful memories you shared together.
