Mary Pamela Fader of Caro, age 76, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025 with her daughter by her side. She was born January 13, 1949 in Caro, the daughter of the late Charles and Judy (Kleber) Dyer. Mary attended Sacred Heart Catholic School through the 8th grade and then went on to graduate from Caro High School with the class of 1967. She furthered her education by obtaining an associate's degree from Saginaw Business Institute. Mary married Jerry Lee Fader on August 29, 1992. Their marriage was blessed with nearly twenty-eight years before his passing on May 13, 2020.
Mary worked at Caro Family Physicians for over thirty years as a receptionist. She was a parishioner of St. Christopher Parish and a member of the Caro Moose Lodge. Mary was affectionately known as "Lucy." She enjoyed cruising around Caro (at very slow speeds), her many trips to Wal-Mart, the Dollar Tree, Ollie's, and VG's, and never missed an airing on QVC. She loved her monthly lunches with her work gals and occasionally sneaking a sip from her son-in-law's Scotch. Above all else, Mary was known for the love she had for her grandchildren and her never-give-up spirit. She was inspiring, tough, and most of all loving.
Mary leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Michelle (David) Frick, Mike (Kathy) Fader, and Terry (Tammy) Fader; grandchildren, Steven (Keirsten) Turner, Kelsey (Gabe) Killion, Samuel (Riley) Frick, Heather (Louie) Fader, and Owen Fader; great-grandchildren, Michael, Dalton, Jessica, Madison, Isaac, Casey, and Bryce; daughter-in-law, Gloria and family; sisters, Alicia Hool, Sarah (Randy) Siebigteroth, and Cathy (Eric) Smith; sisters-in-law, Norma & Rita Fader; brother-in-law, Doug (Colleen) Fader; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her son, Michael Lich.
Mary's funeral service will be on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart Church in Caro. Rev. Isaac Madanu will officiate. Mary's family will be present to receive visitors on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with 7:30 p.m. Rosary and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the wishes of the family, c/o Michelle Frick, 205 W. Sherman Street, Caro, MI 48723.
