Mary Frances Seamster Ferguson, 85, of Evington, Virginia, passed away on August, 16, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Janie Arc Seamster and wife of the late Leonard Wayne Ferguson.
She was born on October 21, 1939, in Danville, Virginia. She attended school at George Washington High School, then pursued her career in banking at Central Fidelity Bank (now Wells Fargo Bank).
Mary was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with family and friends and helping others.
She is survived by her children, Tammy Ferguson and Carole Daly (Dan); granddaughter, Danielle Mary Daly, grandson, Jonathan Fergus Daly; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents and loving husband of 49 years, she is preceded in death by sister, Pauline Osborne, brother, James Seamster; and her special sisters-in-law, Jeanne Seamster, and Margie Layne; along with brothers-in-law, Willard Osborne and Donald Layne.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Beulah Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held on August 25, 2025, at 2 pm at Beulah Baptist Church with Dr. Dennis Hollandsworth officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Interment at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery will follow.
