Mary Furtado

Mary Furtado, 91, of Fall River, wife of the late Jose C. Furtado, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Sarah Brayton Nursing Home. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Graca and the late Laura (Ponte) Graca.

Prior to her retirement, she worked in the local textile industry as a seamstress for many years. She enjoyed traveling and making clothing. Most notably, Mary loved spending quality time with her family.

She leaves her children: David Furtado and his wife Christine of Fall River and Catherine Gula and her husband Leonard of Fall River; her grandson Kevin; and one brother, Norm Graca.

Her private funeral was held on Friday, December 19th, with a Prayer Service in our Fall River Chapel followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
