Mary "Jane" Geise

Mary "Jane" Geise, age 82, of Fishers, passed away Monday, November 3, 2025. She was born in Indianapolis, on February 17, 1943, to Lawrence and Mary Kathryn (Waltman) Goodson. She graduated from Broad Ripple High School in 1961. Jane received her bachelor's degree from the IU School of Music in 1965 and a master's degree from Butler University in 1969. She married David Geise on December 17, 1966, in Indianapolis.

Jane worked in music education for several years, teaching at IPS, Carmel Clay, Warren Township, and Southern Hancock schools. She was also a devoted mother to her three daughters. Jane was a pianist at church and at Von Maur for many years. She was a member of the Piano Teachers Guild and Indian Creek Christian Church, and a member of Kappa Delta Sorority at IU.

Jane lived life to the fullest and was the life of the party everywhere she went. She loved spending time with her ten grandchildren and taking them on many fun adventures throughout the years.

She is survived by her husband, David; daughters, Becca (Kris) Feldmeyer, Laura (Billy) Glassing, and Annie (Phil) Solimine; grandchildren, Bryce, Bryana, and Brylee Dawson, Rielly, Cooper, Garrett, and Wyatt Glassing, Peyton, Sophia, and Preston Solimine; and brother, Steve (Sue) Goodson. She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Goodson; mother, Mary Kathryn Goodson; brother, Lawrence Goodson Jr.; and grandson, Curtis Glassing.

The family would like to thank the caring staff of Charter Senior Living of Gateway Park and Paradigm Hospice for their compassionate support and care during the past several months of her life.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A Celebration of Life service will immediately follow the visitation at 4:00 p.m.
