Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tucker, Yocum, & Wilson Funeral Home on Feb. 8, 2026.
Mary Ann Ward Glass, age 95, widow of Gordon Glass, Jr., passed away Friday, February 7, 2026, in Georgetown, Kentucky. Born on March 11, 1930, to the late Alex C. and Nettie Wells Ward, Mary survived her parents and three brothers, Alex W. (Rosalie) Ward, William Richard (Annette) Ward, and John Russell (Betty Jean) Ward.

Her four children/caregivers- Elizabeth Oliver, Marilyn Snyder, Gordon C. (Cathy) Glass, and Marsha (Terry) Bertram will greatly miss her as will her niece/caregiver, Anna Doerner. Her grandchildren, who loved going to Granny's house on holidays, include Revel (Kimberly) Oliver, Heath Oliver, Matthew Haynes, Sarah (Dan) Collier, Katelyn (Riley) Perkins, Hannah Bertram, Ashley Glass, Daniel (Kathlyn) Bertram, and Rachel (Taylor) Cook. Mary will also be missed by several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Mary and sister-in-law, Norma Glass, were matriarchs of the Glass family, who lived their lives intertwined from school days forward. They married brothers, raised children together, and enjoyed being travel buddies. Mary enjoyed attending the Stamping Ground Christian Church for many years, and was active in the church activities. She wore many hats over her lifetime, including farmer's wife, full-time mother, factory worker, elementary lunchroom server, deli worker, and caterer. In other words, she liked to stay busy.

Visitation for Mary will be 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home, 320 West Main Street, Georgetown, Kentucky, 40324. The Funeral will begin at 12:00 pm the following Friday morning, with Bro. Scott Johnson, pastor of Oakland Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be at the Georgetown Cemetery after the funeral, where Pallbearers will be Revel Oliver, Heath Oliver, Matthew Haynes, Daniel Bertram, Terry Bertram, and Cody Oliver. Honorary Pallbearers are Riley Perkins, Taylor Cook, and Daniel Collier.

Mary's family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Bluegrass Care Navigators who showed incredible support and love throughout her journey. Donations are recommended to Bluegrass Care Navigators, 1317 US Hwy 62, Cynthiana, Kentucky 41031.
