Mary Elizabeth Gotham, age 83, of Edmore passed away, into the arms of Jesus on November 8, 2024, at MyMichigan Medical Center in Alma. She was born on March 5, 1941, in Birmingham, Alabama, the daughter of Walter and Lillian (Bollick) Gotham, and was raised in eastern Michigan. Mary was a very special, loving lady. She found joy in taking care of her babies (stuffed animals) talking to them as she tucked them in each night. Mary enjoyed spending time with her beloved sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Alan especially time spent on their pontoon boat. She loved going to church at the Sonshine Worship Center in Lakeview, singing her favorite song, Jesus Loves Me, and visiting with friends that also became her family. Mary was blessed with the ability to love everyone she knew and in return, everyone Loved Mary.
The family would like to thank the staff at Tranquility AFC, especially Jodie and Jamie for their loving care over the past 2 years and Miss Vivian for always making her look beautiful.
Mary is survived by her sister, Dorothy (Alan) Metcalf of Mecosta; and stepbrothers, Norm Nulf, Dave (Judy) Nulf.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lillian and Walter; sister, Lucy Brown; and a brother, Ken Gotham.
A funeral service in Mary's honor will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Sonshine Worship Center in Lakeview with Pastor Stephen Brigham officiating. Family will greet friends for visitation from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
