Mary Jane Hall, a beloved member of the community, passed away on September 2, 2023, at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was born on October 13, 1951, to the late Howard Cecil Nelson and Mary Lunsford Nelson in Washington County, VA. Mary's passing leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and dedication.
Mary's life was centered around her family and her career. She worked alongside her husband, Richard Hall, for many years in their successful construction business, R. Hall Construction. Their partnership not only created a thriving business but also served as an example of the power of love and collaboration.
One of Mary's proudest accomplishments was the deep and enduring love she shared with Richard. They were soulmates who stood by each other's side for an incredible 61 years. Their unwavering commitment to one another was an inspiration to all who knew them.
Outside of her professional and family life, Mary had a few hobbies that brought her immense happiness. She enjoyed playing bingo whenever she had the opportunity and could often be found challenging herself with games on her computer. These pastimes allowed her to relax and connect with others who shared similar interests.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Wayne Nelson and son-in-law, Robert Rankin.
Mary Jane Hall's life was a testament to love, resilience, and dedication. Her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of her loving husband Richard, her son Michael and daughter-in-law Christina, her daughter Diana, her daughter Candice Self, her five grandsons, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She leaves a void that will never be filled but will always be adorned with memories of her kindness and unwavering love.
