Mary Hall

Mary Hall, a beloved homemaker and a beacon of love and strength, passed away on September 4, 2023, in Bullard, Texas. She was born on November 14, 1927, in Bristow, Oklahoma, to her loving parents W.P. Scott and Melinda McIntyre.

Mary's life was defined by compassion and dedication to her family. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to creating a loving and nurturing home for her husband, Bill Hall Sr., and their children. Mary's love knew no bounds as she selflessly cared for her family every day.

In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, Mary had a myriad of hobbies and interests that brought her immense joy. Sewing was not only a practical skill for her but also an avenue through which she expressed her creativity. The garments she crafted were not just objects of practicality but works of art imbued with her love and care.

Mary possessed green thumbs that could effortlessly transform any barren space into an oasis of vibrant colors. Gardening became her sanctuary; amongst the blossoms and foliage, she found solace and tranquility. Nature eagerly responded to Mary's touch, resulting in magnificent gardens that left everyone awe-inspired.

Beyond sewing and gardening, Mary had an uncanny eye for beauty. Over the course of her life, she amassed an impressive collection of antiques—each piece holding a story from generations past. These relics served as reminders of the importance of heritage and tradition in Mary's life.

Not only did Mary embrace creative outlets like sewing and collecting antiques, but she also had an innate ability to capture emotions through poetry. Her verses spoke volumes about the depth of her feelings and reflected the wisdom acquired during a lifetime filled with love and experience.

 

Mary was predeceased by her father W.P. Scott, mother Melinda McIntyre, husband Bill Hall Sr., son David Wayne Hall, and brother Howard Anderson. Although they are no longer physically with her, their spirits will forever reside in the hearts of those who loved them.

She is survived by her devoted son Bill Hall, Jr. (spouse – Norma), loving daughter Kathy Hall, caring brother David Scott (spouse – Margie), and loving sister Nancy Ballard. Mary's legacy also extends to her eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren, each of whom she cherished dearly. Her wise words and gentle touch will continue to guide them as they navigate through life's journey.

Mary Hall will be remembered as a pillar of strength, a woman whose selflessness knew no limits, and a source of unwavering love for all who knew her. Her beautiful smile and warm embrace brought comfort to many during life's darkest hours. May her spirit remain an inspiration to us all, reminding us to cherish our loved ones and live our lives with kindness and grace.

As we bid farewell to Mary Hall, let us celebrate the remarkable life she lived and hold dear the countless memories she bestowed upon us. In each act of love we perform, in each poem that brings solace, in every beautifully sewn garment we embrace, may we honor the legacy of Mary's extraordinary existence.

 

Friends are invited to join the family and share remembrances of Mary during a visitation on Friday, September 8, 2023, from 10:00 am to 12:00pm. A celebration of her life will take place after visitation at 12:00 pm at the Anderson-Clayton Brothers Funeral Home in Kaufman. Interment will be in Kaufman Cemetery in Kaufman.
