Mary Coleen Hall

After a long life of loving and laughter Coleen Stults Hall passed away very suddenly on April, 22, 2025. She was born August 20, 1934 in Reeds Spring, Missouri as the only child to Ernestine McCrorey Stults and John Lester Stults.
She graduated high school at 16, and left for Springfield, MO to become an RN at St Johns School of Nursing and graduated as class of 1954. They lived full time in a dormitory and did hands on nursing while in school. They were a close group and had reunions every year to keep in touch. After graduation she moved to St Louis, MO for a few months and then moved to Little Rock to work at the VA hospital. She met her husband Bob E. Hall at a New Year's Eve party, 1955, in Little Rock and they got married in September 2, 1956, and 4 years later they started their family and had two children, Robin and Teddy.
She was predeceased by her parents and her loving husband of 65 years.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Robin (Hall) & Robert Guadagnini and son Robert A. "Teddy" Hall. Her sister-in-law Lavonne (Hall) Maguire and niece Susan (Eric) Vitek also survives her. Being an only child, she always welcomed friends and so many would become "framily". "Love is the only thing you take with us" and she took a lot of love with her.
Coleen was a full-time wife while Bob completed graduate school and obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Arkansas. After Bob's graduation and birth of Robin they moved to New Orleans where she loved sewing and learned to entertain and host agent parties. This continued after moving to Fayetteville. She became "famous" for their boiled shrimp - fresh from the Gulf- student parties, ballgame parties and dinners they hosted at their home.
Coleen was an avid exerciser, starting with having to walk 2 miles as a child to catch the bus for school, then working out daily with Jack LaLane on TV, and taking up jogging when they moved to Fayetteville (1970). She continued walking and working out at the WRMC Center for Exercise until her death.
When returning to Fayetteville she became active in BA Wives and University Wives. She also worked in the family business for years and upon retirement Coleen volunteered for community meals at Central United Methodist Church.
Coleen and Bob were members of Asbury Class at Central United Methodist.
A Memorial celebration will be held in May 22, 11:00 at Wesley Chapel at Central United Methodist Church, 6 West Dickson St, Fayetteville AR 72703. Cremation was handled by Nelson-Berna Funeral Home.
