Ms. Mary Margarett Hannegan

Ms. Mary Margaret Hannegan, 94, of Georgetown, Louisiana entered into Heaven on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born Thursday, June 26, 1930 in Packton, Louisiana. She was the daughter of the late Arch and Bessie Wiley Riggs. She was the wife of the late Charles T. Hannegan, Sr.
Ms. Margarett was a graduate of Georgetown High School and member of Zion Baptist Church. She was a faithful and loving housewife. She loved and cherished her family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchild. She loved her flowers and very much enjoyed hummingbirds.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hannegan, Sr., parents, Arch and Bessie Wiley Hannegan; brothers, Clyde Riggs, Thurman Riggs, A.C. Riggs, W.O. Riggs, Gerald Riggs; sisters, Dorothy Kees and Sue Rosier.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Paul Hannegan, and Charles Timothy Hannegan, Jr. (Gay); sister, Judy Moody; her precious three grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
The family will receive friends at Southern Funeral Home on Friday, June 13, 2025 from 9:30AM until 10:30AM.
Funeral Services for Ms. Margarett will be in the chapel of the funeral home at 10:30AM with Rev. Tommy Prince officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Georgetown, LA.
Those honored to serve the family as pallbearers are Todd Hannegan, Keith Karisny, Ayden Karinsy, Ethan Bumgardner, Philip Riggs, and Daniel Riggs.
