Mary Lee Harrell, age 89 of Sheridan, AR, died Sunday, March 16, 2025 at the Arkansas Heart Hospital Encore Medical Center in Bryant, AR. She was born July 6, 1935 in Boothe, AR in Scott County.
She was a retired inspector from the Rison Garment Factory. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Rison, AR. She was a member of the Y Community Home Extension Club. She loved growing flowers, putting jigsaw puzzles together, and doing word search puzzles. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bilbo Harrell of Rison, AR; three sons, Willie Harrell, Jr. of Rison, AR, John Harrell of Argyle, TX, and Ray Harrell of Canton, MS; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.S. Francis of Rison, AR and May Francis of Boothe, AR; four brothers, Chris Francis of Rison, AR, Jessie Francis of Noble, OK, John Edd Francis, of Rison, AR, and David Parsons of Hereford, TX; and seven sisters, Minnie Stone of Chicago, IL, Martha Bullock of Hughes, AR, Betty Jo Jackson of Morrilton, AR, Chyrel Rynders of Rison, AR, Mary Brown of Rison, AR, Mildred Afford of Fresno, CA, and Wanda Bullock of Johnson City, TX.
She is survived by one son, Joe Paul Harrell (Pam) of Star City, AR; two daughters, Susie Harrell Anderson of Sheridan, AR and Diane Harrell Wingate of Richland, MS; one brother, William Lee Francis of Dangerville, TX; six sisters, Susie Lester of Amarillo, TX, Doris Evelyn Cunningham (Edward) of Sheridan, AR, Annie Mae McCann of Rison, AR, Marie Cummings (Kenneth) of Rison, AR, Linda Watters of Springhill, Lousianna, Joyce Simmons (Emmett) of Biglow, Arkansas, and Jennette Goodin (Dale) of Richcon, Mississippi; 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 15 great great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at the Buie Funeral Home in Rison, AR. The funeral service will be Friday, March 21, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Buie Funeral Home Chapel in Rison, AR with Reverend Emmett Simmons officiating the service. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery in Rison, AR.
