Mary Tom Bevill Harrell, 80, of Durant, Mississippi, went home to be with Jesus on March 5, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Brister Cemetery in Durant, Mississippi. Rev. David Cain will officiate the services.
Mary Tom was born on February 12, 1946, in Lexington, Mississippi, to Robert “Buck” Bevill and Rowena Tate Bevill. She was a Respiratory Therapist for over 40 years. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Church.
Mary Tom is survived by her sons, John (Jennifer) Harrell and Bruce Harrell; 6 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, John “Big John” Harrell, parents, Robert “Buck” Bevill and Rowena Tate Bevill, and brother, Robert “Sonny” Bevill.
Serving as pallbearers are James Harrell, Chris Kyzar, Dustin Harrell, Sammy Harrell, Hugh Moore, and Mitch Kyzar. Servings as honorary pallbearers are Larry Shrader and Zack Kyzer.
