Mary was born on June 24, 1934, at Contra Costa County Hospital in Martinez, California to the union of the late William Malbrough and Annette (Chambers) Malbrough. Mary was the last surviving sibling of 8 children, McKinley Malbrough, William Malbrough, Solomon Malbrough, Anna Montgomery, Cecelia Willams and Annette Howard.

Mary accepted Christ at an early age and during her years was a member of North Richmond Missionary Baptist Church and in her later years she was a faithful contributor at Mount Zion Baptist Church, Richmond, CA.

She was raised in Richmond, CA and graduated from Richmond High School with the class of 1952. Mary was married in 1954 to the late Charles V. Harris. From that union they had three children, Deborah (Harris) Watson, Steve A. Harris, and the late Cecelia E. (Harris) White.

She worked as an Administrative Coordinator for the United State Army Exchange for over 30 years and received many awards for her service and retired in 1988.

Saturday, December 13, 2025, Oh, what a glorious day! Mary's homegoing at the age of 91.6 years old.

She leaves to mourn her beloved daughter Deborah Watson of Marietta, GA, and Son Steve Harris of San Pablo, CA. Three grandchildren Tiffany White, Roswell, GA, Andre White, Pinole, CA, Quincy Quetant; eight great grandchildren, Kalev White, Kaylin-Grace White, Armel White, Amana White, Eva Outler, Isaiah Quetant, Isabel Quetant and Imani Quetant, one son-in-law Darrell Watson; one granddaughter-in-law Darda White and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
