Mary Lenore Haskins, of Hanson, formerly of Dorchester, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, September 5, 2025. She was 84.

Lenore was born in Boston on September 12, 1940, and was the daughter of the late Kendall Holmes Burns and Hilda Grace (Trachier) Burns. She was raised in Roslindale and graduated from Boston Public Schools. Lenore continued her education at Boston Clerical. She went to work as a secretary at a Boston Bank before working as a secretary for the Sheet Metal Workers Union, Local 17, where she devoted 20 years.

Lenore’s life was centered around the love of her family. She poured her heart into creating lasting traditions and memories, making Christmas stockings and dollhouses for each of her grandchildren, and filling holidays with warmth and joy.

Together with her husband, Lenore was an avid traveler, cherishing the many adventures they shared. At home, she was the heart of countless family gatherings, hosting Easter and Thanksgiving dinners, Christmas celebrations, and birthday parties that brought generations together.

Her legacy is one of love, creativity, and devotion to family.

Lenore was the beloved wife of the late John E. Haskins, who died in 2020. She was the devoted mother of Edward “Ted” J. Bohld of Hanson, and the late Patricia Park and her surviving spouse Sean of Quincy. Lenore was the loving grandmother of Julianne Bantz and her spouse Brad Bantz of Braintree, Caitlyn Bohld-Cervantes and her spouse Lucia of Daytona, Florida, Rachel Lima and her spouse Ian of Somerset, Sarah Hinds and her spouse Aaron of Quincy, and Brendan Bohld of Hanson. She was the loving great grandmother of Timothy Foley of Brighton, Frank Reynolds IV of Braintree, and Sadie Lima of Somerset. Lenore was the loving great-great grandmother of Jaxson Foley of Weymouth. She was the dear sister of Martha Burns of Plympton, the late Delina Murphy, the late Charles Burns, and the late Fran Carroll. Lenore is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
