Mary Patricia Haynes, affectionately known to all as Pat, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025, in her hometown of Chatsworth, Georgia surrounded by her loving family.

Born on October 6, 1942, in Chatsworth, Pat was the cherished daughter of the late Howard and Aline Whitener and sister to her beloved late brother, Mackie. From an early age, she possessed both a compassionate heart and a determined spirit-qualities that guided her through a life dedicated to caring for others.

Pat was a proud graduate of Georgia Baptist, where she earned her Registered Nursing degree. Her career in healthcare spanned more than 35 years, marked by extraordinary devotion and leadership. She served as the Emergency Room Director at Hamilton Medical Center for nine years before becoming Director of Nursing at Chatsworth Health Care Center. Her deep commitment to patient care and her gift for administration led her to serve as Administrator of several health care facilities, concluding her distinguished career at Pruitt Health Care in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. During her tenure, Pat received numerous National Awards of Excellence and other prestigious honors, reflecting the respect and admiration she earned throughout the healthcare community.

Beyond her professional achievements, Pat's life was filled with art, love, and laughter. A gifted artist, she adorned her home with graceful oil paintings that reflected her gentle soul and keen eye for beauty.

At home, Pat found her greatest joy as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jimmy Maxwell Haynes Sr., with whom she shared a beautiful life of faith, hard work, and devotion.

She is survived by her son, Jimmy Haynes Jr. and his wife Deborah, along with their sons Tyler Haynes and wife Savannah, and Trevor Haynes of Chatsworth, Georgia.
Her daughter, Gina Haynes Lindsay, and husband Jack Lindsay Jr., of Chatsworth, Georgia also carry forward her memory through their children: Jessica Thompson and husband Christopher Thompson and their daughters Olivia and Madeleine of Roswell, Georgia; Jack Lindsay III and wife Bianca of Mililani, Hawaii; and Lara Beene and husband Hershel Beene and their son Maxwell of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Pat would also like to express her love and appreciation to her dearest friends, Libby Martinez and Seth Gregory. Their unwavering friendship and constant presence brought her great comfort, laughter, and joy.

Pat will be remembered for her warmth, grace, and generosity-the kind of woman whose care extended far beyond her profession. She nurtured those around her with wisdom, laughter, and an open heart. Her legacy will continue to inspire everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Mary Patricia "Pat" Haynes will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at 1:00pm from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Cochran officiating. Interment will follow at Chatsworth Heights Cemetery.

The Family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 11:00am until 1:00pm.
