Collinsville, Illinois - Mary Louise Dickinson Brewer Hoffman, age 88, of Collinsville, born on December 1, 1934 in East St. Louis, IL, died on June 23, 2023, in Collinsville, IL.
Mary was born and raised in East St. Louis, IL and was proud that she grew up there. She saw it as it was then, not as it is now. It was her hometown. She was saved and baptized at the age of ten and was devoted to God, her Father, Jesus, her Savior, and the Holy Spirit, her guide.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Collinsville, IL. She had a heart for missions and women's ministries and was chair of the Women's Mission Society for 8 years and for many years, a member of the Dorcas Mission Circle, which she lovingly referred to as "the Dorks."
Mary was preceded in death by her savior Jesus Christ, who arose and is still living; and her husband, Virgil L. "Pete" Hoffman who died in 2018. Mary and Pete were both 18 years old when they married; their love for each grew and grew over their 66 years of marriage. They were blessed with 6 children, Michael L. Hoffman, who died in 1974 at the age of 20; David (Chris) Hoffman of St. Louis, MO; Sherry Hoffman of Collinsville, IL; Bill (Alisa) Hoffman of Staunton, IL; Pete (Barb) Hoffman of Collinsville, IL; and Susie (Jamie) Adkins of Dallas, TX.
Mary is also survived by her grandchildren, Crystal Hoffman, Pete (Rosie) Hoffman, Jr., Robert Hoffman, Jenifer (Jason) Hallgren, Jade Shellenberg, Terri (Mikey) Hoffman, Kara Caussin, and Blake Caussin; her great grandchildren, Samantha, Holly, Mali, Savannah, Layla, Summer, Chloe, Orion, Liam, Kendall, and Reed; her great-great granddaughter, Ariana; and her grand dogs, Gracie and Rocky.
Mary and Pete loved to travel! Mary's favorite place was Colorado. She hopes that when the Lord makes assignments for eternity, he will assign Pete and her to rule over that region. Mary is now in heaven, waiting to see all of you! She loves you and asks God to bless you!

Memorial Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday June 27, 2023, at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL.
Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, Kassly Mortuary Chapel, Fairview Heights, IL. Burial of Mary's cremated remains will be held at Lake View Memorial Gardens at a later date.
