Mary Carolyn Holzbach

Mary Carolyn Bryan Holzbach, 92, widow of Rev. Edmond Gray Holzbach, passed away Monday, December 8, 2025, at NHC Healthcare.

Born September 9, 1933, in Kershaw County, she was the daughter of the late William Henry Bryan and the late Lottie Peach Bryan. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

Survivors include four children, William Bryan Holzbach (Beth) of Florence, Barry Edmond Holzbach (Debbie) of Houston, TX, Tina Holzbach Faulk (Jack) of Columbia, and David Alex Holzbach (Mandi) of Sumter; grandchildren, Elizabeth Holzbach DuBose, Meredith Mitchell, Micah Holzbach, Jeremy Holzbach, Crandall Faulk, Will Holzbach, and Jackson LeMay; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Roberta Bryan Newman of Sumter.

A graveside service will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.

The family would like to extend heartfelt appreciation to the staff of NHC Healthcare and Caris Hospice for the loving care they provided Mrs. Holzbach.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.

Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
