Mary Joan Wiley Hudgins, age 90 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024 at The Fountains.
Mary was born on March 3, 1934 in Atlanta, GA, the daughter of the late Mac C. and Grace Eleanor Pate Wiley. In addition to her parents, Mary was also preceded in death by: her husband, Hugh Richard Hudgins, SR; son, Phillip “Tim” Hudgins; and great-granddaughter, Hayden Nicole Shiflett. Mary was an avid collector, loved to watch golf and knew all of the golfers.
Mary is survived by: five children, Wanda Joan (Craig) Bourne of Dallas, GA, Kathy Dawn Duncan of Greer, SC, Sharon Lisa (Jeff) Sanders of Kennesaw, GA, Karen (Mike) Satterfield of Calhoun, GA, Hugh Richard (Maria) Hudgins, JR of Calhoun, GA; ten grandchildren, Derek Amos, Daryl Amos, Angela Gibson, Jesi Barett, Megan Tilley, Adam Sanders, Heather Shiflett, Jeremy Legg, Melissa Legg, and Alison Legg; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 22, 2024 from 1 PM until 3 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, December 22, 2024 at 3 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Dr. Bert Vaughn officiating. Carmen Green will have charge of music. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery
Pallbearers serving include: Daryl Amos, Derek Amos, Craig Bourne, Adam Sanders, Mike Satterfield, and Austin Sanders.
