In Loving Memory of:

Mary Len Hunt who was born on April 8, 1945 in Helena, AR to Aline Davis. She was initially raised by her maternal grandmother, Gertrude Bankston (preceded in death) and spent her adolescent and pre-teen years in West Helena, AR. Mary accepted Christ at an early age and regularly attended church. She also had a beautiful voice and sang at her home church and around the Helena area.

At the age of fourteen she moved to Chicago, IL to be with her Mother, Aline and Stepfather, William Branick and seven siblings.

In 1962 Mary met and fell in love with John M. Hunt (preceded in death). The two later married in September, 1966 after he returned from the Army. To their union two daughters were born: LeNair and Kimberly.

Mary worked for 20+ years at Encyclopedia Britannica where she built lifelong friendships with those she lovingly referred to as her "Britannica Crew." She was later employed by HSBC and that is where she eventually retired; again building lasting relationships with friends who referred to her as "Nana".

In 2007 Mary relocated back to her childhood hometown, West Helena, AR where she reconnected with family.

Mary was a loving Mother, Granny and Auntie. She adored her children and grandchildren and often took extended visits back to Chicago to spend time with them. Her true enjoyment was watching Basketball, Football and vintage Westerns and when she sat down at a card table with her HOT cup of coffee or a bottle of Pepsi, everyone gathered to watch as she was sure to run a BOSTON on somebody!

Mary was known for her feisty and no nonsense spirit but she gave her love freely and was a mother to all that met her.

On May 9, 2025, at 80 years of age, God whispered in her ear that she had earned her Heavenly reward and she drifted away into His arms.

To cherish her memory Mary leaves her daughters, LeNair Hunt and Kimberly Holmes (Terry), siblings Rex, Louise and Pamela Branick. Her grandchildren Terry Jr., Dionte, Bria and Jeremiah. Two great-grandchildren Kyler Reign and Skyler Snoh. Her great niece Tamran and great great nephew, Kyren Drake. Her sister-in-law, Arlene King, her special cousins Lewis and Harry James O'Neal and a host of other cousins, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her Mother Aline, Stepfather Will, Mother and Father in-Law Velma and Baron, Brother Thurman, Sister Wilhelmina, Nephew Taron, and Niece StarLinda.
