Funeral services for Mary Alice Kilpatrick Jackson will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday January 15, 2023 at North Monroe Baptist Church with Rev. Warren Eckhart officiating. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. under the direction and care of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
Mary Alice Jackson of Monroe, LA passed away to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 12, 2023. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Les Jackson; one brother James Kilpatrick and wife Sara and one brother-in-law Howard Jackson. Very special friends are Myrrah Thompson, Anita Whitaker, Lanelle Crooks and Danelle McGee.
Mary Alice was in the teaching profession for 55 years. She retired from Monroe City Schools in 1979. Following retirement from public schools she taught at Ridgedale Academy, Grace Episcopal School and taught at Ouachita Christian School for 25 years. She loved her students and their parents and they loved her.
Mary Alice also worked with the Miss Louisiana Pageant for 40 years as a hostess and a member of the Board of Directors for several years. The girls that she worked with were always dear to her heart. Several of the Miss Louisiana's lived with her and her husband throughout their reign. Through the years all of these girls were looked upon as her children. Mary Alice and Les have been members of North Monroe Baptist Church for 49 years and are members of the Sonny Standifer Life Group.
