Maryann James age 69 was called home on July 30th, 2024. She was born in Portageville Mo on September 10, 1954 to John & Jannie James.
She accepted and confessed Jesus Christ as her personal savoir at a very early age of life
She graduated from Portageville High School in 1973, shortly after completing high school she went on to work as a factory worker and later changed to the healthcare field where she dedicated her services for many years. Maryann was a member of Zion Rock Baptist Church and served as a dedicated usher on the usher board for numerous years until her health started declining. Mary not only dedicated her life to providing for her daughter she also opened her home and her heart to her family as well as her friends. She had a heart of gold and knew all elements of caretaking and unconditional love. To know her was to love her. She was always there and ready to extend her hand to anyone that was in need.
Maryann leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter Jannie LaKeisha Rowsley (Marion) of Paragould, AR, 2 brothers, Eddie James, Sr. (Carolyn) of Elkhart, IN, and Jessie James, Sr. (Lydia) of Portageville, MO, 3 Sisters, Georgie James of Florissant, MO. Gloriastine Wade of Peoria, IL, and Joann Wigfall (Harvey) of Portageville, MO. A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, 2 dear friends, Faye Young and Margaret Brown, and a very special niece that she called her second daughter, Amanda McClellan.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Jannie James her father John James, 2 brothers, John L. James and Oscar James, 2 sisters Jerlean Davis and Nadine Shelton.
