Mary Johnson Obituary
Mary accepted a job at New Dawn Day Care. Caring for small children for many years, she loved her children. She worked there until retirement, then she missed them very much.
Mary met the love of her life, Paul Casie Johnson, in Newark NJ. They lived together for many years happily in Newark. Mary attended and ushered at her home church, Mt. Olivet Baptist Church on Avon Avenue in Newark, NJ.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Paul Johnson, her parents Alfred and Elizabeth Powell, her brother Kenneth Powell, sister Betty Williamson and brother Robert Reeves.
Mary leaves to mourn one son Anthony Reeves, a step-daughter Ella Whitley (Pee-Wee), her sisters Brenda Pridgen, Rev. Irene Smith, Diane Kimbrough and Carol Bennett, two brothers Douglas Powell and Alfred Powell, and a host of nephews and nieces and their children.
