Funeral services for Mary Geneva "Sis" Kidd will be held at 11:30 AM Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at the Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel in Seagoville with Rev. Chris Ricketts officiating. Interment will follow in the Crandall Cemetery under the direction of Roselawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens. Mary Geneva Kidd was born on November 3, 1918 in Kaufman County, Texas the daughter of the late William Richard and Josephine Cooper Kidd and went to be with her Lord on May 13, 2012 in Kaufman, Texas. Sis was a graduate of Kaufman High School and then continued her education and took business courses in Dallas, Texas and went to work for Republic National Life Insurance Company until she retired from there to stay home and take care of her niece, Shirley Kidd Wilkinson. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Crandall for over 30 years where she taught Sunday School for 30 years as well. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Richard and Josephine Kidd, 5 brothers, Bart, Richard, Calvin, Buster and J.T.; 2 nieces, Dorothy Kidd Lanfair and Nancy Kidd Burt. Survivors include her niece, Shirley Jo Wilkinson; great nephew Brent Lanfair and great niece, Kristi Stokes and her husband Paul as well as other friends and relatives.
