Mary Lou Kimball, age 92, of Evergreen Village, Normal, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Carle BroMenn Medical Center after a long and well-lived life.

Mary Lou was born on April 23, 1933, in Elwood, Ind., to Roy and Leona Scircle (Benson). She graduated from DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind., where she met her beloved husband, Arthur S. Kimball. They were married on July 31, 1955, in Elwood, Ind. Art preceded her in death on October 10, 2010.

Mary Lou enjoyed a distinguished career as a realtor with Coldwell Banker and was a dedicated member of the Bloomington/Normal Board of Realtors for many years. Prior to her work in real estate, she served as Deputy Assessor for Normal Township. Alongside her husband, she co-owned radio stations in Mendota, Ill., and Shelbyville, Ind., during the 1980s.

A passionate supporter of her college sorority, Mary Lou was instrumental in establishing the Illinois State University chapter of Delta Delta Delta. She served as House Corporation President for ten years and continued to advise the chapter in various roles for many years. Mary Lou was also a devoted member of First Presbyterian Church of Normal.

Mary Lou's interests were many and varied. She was an enthusiastic fan of college football and basketball, an outstanding seamstress and cook, an avid reader and gardener, and above all, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her warmth, generosity, and devotion to her family and community will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Mary Lou is survived by her two children, Kathy (Greg) Allemang of Tempe, Ariz., and Steve (Laurie) Kimball of Normal; four grandchildren, Brad Allemang (Kaylee) of Phoenix, Ariz., Lindsey Goldberg (Michael) of Gainesville, Fla., Jacob Kimball of Normal, and Abby Kimball of Des Moines, Iowa; a great-grandson, Caleb Arthur Goldberg of Gainesville, Fla.; three nephews and a niece. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, sister, and one grandson, Joseph Kimball.

A private Graveside Service is planned. Arrangements are being handled by Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Funeral Home in Bloomington. Online condolences and memories may be shared at kiblerbradyruestman.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church in Normal.
