Mary Elizabeth Richey Knight of Kathleen, Ga, age 97, went to meet her Lord to receive her wings on May 10, 2025. She lived most of her life in South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Hester and Lon Richey.Mary lived her life to the fullest. Some say the richest person in the world is the one with the most memories. Mary made lots of them with her late husband, Charles Ray Knight. They enjoyed traveling and going to concerts. She never met a stranger and always came back from her adventures with new friends and lots of stories to share.Mary was always happy with a positive outlook on life. She loved her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking up a good meal for them or baking goodies to share.
Mary never missed an opportunity to help others in need.As she begins her eternal life Mary leaves behind her son Lawrence Knight, his wife Rhonda, grandson Lanny Knight, granddaughter Lisa Knight Timms, her husband Gray Timms, great-grandchildren Lauren Timms Zimzores, Caroline Timms, and Zach Timms; great-great grandchildren Ashlee and Finlee Zimzores
A graveside inurnment will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 11:00 am at Robinson Memorial Gardens in Easley, SC.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask to please make donations to your favorite charity.
