Troy - Mary Phyllis Koumjian, 86, formerly of Manning Avenue died peacefully Friday, January 29, 2021, at the Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center.Born in Troy , she was daughter of the late Philip Suriano and Mary Dexter Suriano and wife of the late James Koumjian. She was a lifelong resident of Troy and a graduate of Troy Schools.Mary was a dedicated mother and homemaker.She was involved with the South Troy Little League and a member of the La Salle Ladies Auxiliary.Survivors include her 4 sons, James Philip Koumjian, Troy, Tony Jon (Wendy) Koumjian, Watervliet, David Lee Koumjian, Troy and Scott Michael (Jennifer) Koumjian, Troy; her grandchildren, Joshua, Kurt, Tyler, Tara and Kayla Koumjian. She was predeceased by her brother, James Suriano.Funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family.Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum Troy.The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center for all their wonderful care.In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Mary Phyllis Koumjian to the Alzheimer's Association of NENY4 Pine West Plaza, Suite 405 Albany, NY 12205.
