Mary Kowalik Obituary
OLEAN - Mary E. Kowalik, 64, of 350 Front St., passed away unexpectedly at home Sunday (July 3, 2022).
Born Jan. 21, 1958, in Amherst, Ohio, she was one of six children born to James A. and Myrtle L. Freed Kowalik.
Mary was raised in Ohio until her teenage years and then moved to the Allegany and Cattaraugus County area in 1977. She had worked for Bush Industries for a period of time.
She enjoyed staying home, was a night owl and liked doing crossword puzzles, playing cards and dice games.
Surviving are two daughters, Angela Scott of Rushford and Marideth (Coddie Bissell) Kowalik of Bolivar; a son, Adam (Sherry Sherr) Bearfield of Olean; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; five brothers and sisters, Florence Huttman, Rita Collins, James Kowalik, Laura Guthrie and Charles Eddy; and many nieces and nephews.
An informal celebration of Mary's life will be held beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2022), in War Veterans Park in Olean. Family and friends are invited.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
