Mary LaMarque Obituary
Mary Lee was born on September 2, 1933, to Michael and Josephine (Patnode) Kyea in AuSable Forks, NY.
Upon graduation, Mary was employed by the JJ Rogers Company. It was then she met her husband, Francis LaMarque. Francis was enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, and stationed in Plattsburgh, NY. After their marriage, Francis was stationed in England and California for a number of years. Mary travelled with him and loved her time living on the west coast and abroad, where she made several life-long friends.
She enjoyed country and western music, as well as dancing. She was a history and genealogy buff. After one conversation, she knew your entire family tree. She enjoyed spending time with her family and miniature poodles Midnight, Barney and Poncie.
She was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Josephine Kyea; husband, Francis LaMarque; brothers, Clarence Kyea, Francis (Antoinette) Kyea, and George (Edith) Kyea; sisters, Ethel and Eva Kyea, Pearl (Joseph) Guiffrida, and Hazel (Howard) VanValkenburg.
She is survived by several nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews.
There will be no public services. Burial will be held in the spring in St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru, 518-643-9055.
