Her Legacy… Mary Ann Lessner, 90, passed away October 20, 2025. She was born on November 21, 1934, in Masontown, Pennsylvania to James Ainsley and Florence (Longden) Ainsley. Mary Ann married the love of her life, John Edward Lessner, on January 1956, in Masontown, Pennsylvania. She will be remembered as a woman loyal to God, country, and family. Mary Ann loved the Lord and her family with the greatest conviction. Mary Ann loved history, her country, and always kept up with current events. She enjoyed keeping up with the Michigan sports teams, specifically the Lions and Tigers. Mary Ann and her husband Jack were also great fans of West Virginia University football. Christmas and Easter were her favorite seasons, where her love of crafts and sewing was shown. The youngest of eleven siblings, Mary Ann fondly remembered her reunions with those siblings and their spouses. Mary Ann will be remembered as a strong woman, with a great sense of humor and fun. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Her Family… Mary Ann will be missed by her children, Mark (Shirley) Lessner and Lori Thomas; grandchildren, Amanda Thomas and her brother Neil Thomas, Zack (Rachael) Lessner, and Sebastian Vergara; great grandchildren, Kane Lessner and Judd Lessner; and all her many loved nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Lessner, her parents James and Florence Ainsley, and all ten of her siblings

Her Farewell… Mary Ann's family and friends will gather Monday October 27, 2025 from 12:00 – 1:00 PM, at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Shelters Chapel, 250 N Mill St, Pinckney, MI 48169. Her Community Farewell will be held after the gathering at 1:00 PM. Justin Phillips will serve as celebrant. Memorial contributions are suggested to Samaritan's Purse, for the furtherance of Operation Christmas Child.
