Mary Ann Lillmars

Mary Ann Lillmars, age 77, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024, at home. She was born on January 12, 1947, to Carl and Elaine (Brown) Nelson in Muskegon, MI where she has been a lifelong resident. She graduated from Muskegon High School class of 1965. On March 16, 1968, she married Mark "Dan" Lillmars, together cherishing 55 wonderful years. Mary Ann took pride in maintaining her home and enjoyed gardening, keeping her yard in pristine condition. She loved supporting her children at all their sporting and musical events. Mary Ann had a knack for numbers and scrap booking, incorporating these hobbies into her children's sporting events. She loved working alongside Dan as he coached at the Lakeside Football Club for many years. She enjoyed keeping her own book to tally, figure out batting averages and keep records over the years. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mary Ann will truly be missed. She is survived by her two children, Steven (Lori) Lillmars and Amy Kelly; six grandchildren, Annika, Meara, Isabella, Emelia, Keeva and Adam; sister, Christine Bergklint; several nieces and nephews; and beloved cat, Moochie. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dan Lillmars; sister, Corinne Berglund; and two brothers-in-law, Dr. J. Allan Bergklint and Thomas Berglund. Per Mary Ann's wishes no services will be held, but please consider donating in her honor to a charity of your choice.
