Mary Lorenzetti, 69, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at her home, on Wednesday, October 25th, 2023. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 1st from 4 to 8 at Doran Funeral Home, 4 East Bayard St., Seneca Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 2nd at 11 AM at St. Patrick's Church, 97 West Bayard St., Seneca Falls. Interment to follow at St. Columbkille Cemetery. Donations in memory may be directed to St. Patrick's Church (Parish Office), 35 Center St., Waterloo, NY 13165.
Mary was born in Seneca Falls, the daughter of the late Carlo and Frances (Sinicropi) Lorenzetti Sr. She graduated from Mynderse Academy, Class of 1973 and went on to further her education at Auburn Community College where she received an AAS in Computer Information. She started and retired from Goulds Pumps spending her 35+ years working in their IT Department.
Mary had many passions in life. She enjoyed golfing, where she was a member of the Seneca Falls Country Club, was a member of the SMS Woman's Auxiliary and a lifelong member of St. Patrick's Church. She enjoyed travelling, painting and pottery making. She was her family's historian and compiled generations of family recipes into a family cookbook which she had printed and distributed to each family member. Above all, her love for her family and spending time with them always put a smile on her face.
Mary is survived by her son, Darin (Carrie) Lorenzetti; beloved grandchildren, Jared, Ethan, Katelyn, Reese; brothers, Carlo (Patti) Jr., Dr. Joseph (Lorraine), John (Cynthia), James (Jill) Lorenzetti; sister, JoAnn (Charlie) Barbay; as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family. In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by a brother, Dennis Sam Lorenzetti in 1976.
